In this video I demonstrate the storage system I use for many of my NES games: Universal Game Cases UGC and printed box art covers from www.thecoverproject.net. I show how to find them, size them in Paint, and modify the game cases for NES games. I also attempt to explain some of the advantages and disadvantages for embarking on the overwhelming task of shelving your retro games. I hope it helps!
DS Cases on nintendo.com They don’t have GBA slots anymore. I bought them anyway and switched the new cases with old ones from my DS collection (which did have GBA slots).

I personally like to print them out at work because my printer is shit
Any idea where I can get control guides that are inside PS4 cases??
I just buy 4 cases every payday from customgamecases.com. They are high quality and I end up supporting a small business at the same time 🙂
Awesome
Does anyone have the Best of the Best retail cover for Super NES? How about all the Dragon Ball Z games game covers for Super NES?
My Universal cases I grabbed for NES games had been pre-done, I'd not even noticed till I watched this and looked at mine, the person I bought them from must have pre-shaved off the excess plastic.
I'd recommend a tiny die grinder, much quicker and way less likely to crack the box.
Great video and collection by the way.
Where buy nes box???
Dude thank you very much I'm rebuilding life and collection and this video really helped
I got these when he first posted it online. Thanks so much! My games look so pristine now.
I think it would be better if these cases came with foam on the inside shaped for the nes games. That would surely keep them in place.
Wiley's Castle theme has been the alarm on my phone for years.
I think this is far better than the original boxes. Thanks to you for this video I watched many years ago and my game collection looks like yours! Soooo good. Though I printed everything at staples! Hahaaa
Is in thecoverproject.net also german?
Some people use cassette cases to store gba games, what are the width and length for the covers
Try this:
Retrogamecases.com
The cases are now $69.00. This is not a joke
Hi. What shelving are you using in the video?
Do you need legal size paper for the ds games?
Now its $70.00 for 100
I Cased Some of my N64 games and it is Awesome thanks
Does any one know where to buy the new NES and original gameboy cases?
i just use a flat blade dremel to cut out those plastic parts for NES games, goes super fast and leaves things super smooth usually
These are great, really. But I don't understand how this one BIG omission could be made: there are no clips for manuals! Boxes are great for display, but manuals are where the important stuff is in (stuff that, sometimes, prevents you from enjoying the game if it's missing). That sucks.
@nescomplex is there room for the original cardboard NES box inside of the plastic once you sniped/ shaved all the plastic away?
how many pages on average can you print on 1 set of ink?
The cases went up to $69.99.
can anyone please put some more resident evil games on cover project. im looking for revelations and mercenaries 3d
Dang I'm currently stationed in England. Guess I'll have to wait to order the cases once I'm home in 2 years 🙁
I am considering doing this for my Nintendo 64 collection. I would like to know from anyone who uses these cases for Nintendo 64 carts..do they hold them in very well? or do these move around inside? I heard from a collector that they seem to fall out every time you open the case? Any info would be very helpful thank you!
Whats cool is the cover project is in the process of converting regular DS covers to 3DS sized cases, and even GB/GBC/GBA covers as well, to create a uniform look. Using 3DS cases for Gameboy and Gameboy Color is easier than regular DS games, as they'll fit with minimal alteration, just a couple slits of foam. Also manuals will fit as well without altering.
Great idea. Very creative!
