I'm still using a6000 in 2020. It takes stunning photos and that's all what matters. If it breaks or if I lose it, I can easily afford a replacement without much thought. To me, that's a big plus compared to other models.

So the a6500 is considered to be a previous model to the a6400? Hmm. I guess I was on the right track to buy the a6400. The screen is definitely a major selling point. And the auto-focus great, too. And.. no record limit? Sold. The automatic dim of the screen on the a6500 is a strange design choice. Thank you for the exceptional review.

Could the in-body image stabilization feature of A6500 justify the idea of no need for an external gimbal for shooting with A6500. Never used an A6500 so really wouldn't know the degree of stabilization. Help me out here, please.

Great comparison. Sony's weird tennis ball approach to their models threw me for a loop. Glad to be going either a6400 or 6600 and throwing the 6500 to the wayside
